In Aug 2024 Joel Malkin with the Brian Mudd morning show did an interview with us in order to bring attention to all the senior community cats in need of rescue at risk of losing their home and possibly their lives. Many have already been saved, but we have a ways to go due to the size of the colony. A few of the rescued are awaiting their turn for major procedures that all cannot be afforded at the same time due to lack of resources. In Oct 2025 Shaine, at UF, contacted us about our fundraiser to rescue community cats at risk and wanted to write a story about it and about what we do. She was invited to visit our sanctuary in order to meet our rescued cats and to see the work we have completed, as well as, what’s currently under construction to accommodate our new rescues . We are so grateful for her interest in the animals and bringing attention to the needs required to help save more lives. Even though we were unable to correct inaccuracies of information in the story, we are extremely appreciative of the efforts and kindness we were shown by Shaine and her eagerness to get the story out about our sanctuary and rescues efforts.
