In Memory Of

In Memory of Those We Lost

May all the souls lost be the light that guides us through our mission until we all meet again.

Dannon

Dannon was living in a field with up to 100 other cats that we and other volunteers were feeding before being rescued and transported to the sanctuary. Dannon initially arrived as an FIV immune compromised feline. Dannon was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the right pinna and required a TECA surgery in order to remove the tumor with the best margins. However, once she was under anesthesia and was examined for removal of said tumor, the vet informed us that it had already attached to the skull and full removal was not possible. Humane euthanasia was recommended at that time. Dannon was with us for only a short period of time, but we are so grateful knowing that she did not suffer and die alone in that field, but instead passed peacefully.
