Sobe
DOB: 12/28/16

Sobe, along with Bruno who is currently up for adoption and Missy who is also a sanctuary resident, all came to us when their owner had to leave her apartment and be placed into a nursing home. Bruno was clearly the only friendly cat, Missy was present, but was not very friendly at the time. We knew Sobe existed, but didn’t even know what she looked like. We just knew we were looking for a third cat and that she did not like strangers.
Well, we finally found her and needless to say Sobe is a large angry cat and wanted nothing to do with a trap. We managed safely get her into a carrier and remove her, along with the others, from the apartment. All three were seen by a vet for examination and updated vaccines before heading to the sanctuary. Bruno and Missy both received a clean bill of health. However, Sobe had blood in her urine which required further testing
Urinalysis showed significant pyuria with hematuria and cystalluria and proteinuria crystalluria, struvite crystals seen with UTI. Ultrasound showed dialated bladder with blood clot, but no mass stone. She was prescribed antibiotics and prescription cat food for the remainder of her life.
