Bandit

Bandit was rescued after being found lifeless in someone’s backyard unable to walk. Upon examination by the veterinary, we were told that the cause of paralysis in his hind legs was due to the spinal cord being swollen. Of course, nobody knew the cause of this we just needed to find out how to help him.

The vets recommended we try injections and rest for several days to see if the swelling will go down to help regain function in his legs. After a couple of weeks, he began to show improvement and within a month he was walking on all four legs. It was a miracle he didn’t need surgery, but we were elated.

Bandit is extremely untrusting of anyone, even us. He does not let anyone get too close to him. It’s sad because I feel whatever happened to him causes him to still live in fear. I hope one day he can forget, but he’ll always be safe here at the sanctuary.
