Abby

Abby was found alone curled up on the sidewalk cold, wet and scared. She was quickly scooped up and taken to safety where she was immediately fed, kept warm and monitored until she could be evaluated by our vet. Her vet visit had revealed that her tiny right leg had been broken in three places (shoulder, elbow and wrist) and weighed in at only 6 ounces.

Abby was much too little for surgery and the vet indicated that the damage was too far gone to save her leg. Abby had a cast replacement each week until her weight and health was safe enough for surgery to amputate. 

Whatever happened to Abby in the beginning of her life to cause such trauma, has long been forgotten for her. Abby was so precious and sweet that she had an adopter waiting to take her home once she her recovery had ended.  Abby has been adopted and is now living her best life.
